MEETING ROOMS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE

DURING THE LIBRARY'S RENOVATION

There are several spaces available for community meetings and gatherings at the Westerly Public Library.

The quiet study room canbe reserved free-of-charge at the Reference Desk.  This space is appropriate for groups of 1-6 peopel and can be reserved for up to 3 hours at a time.

Small groups can also reserve space in our granite display area free-of-charge.  This space can be reserved through the Reference Department.

The three large spaces -- second-floor auditorium, second-floor gallery, and third-floor terrace room -- can be rented through the Facilities Manager (596.2877 x314).  Please note that space must be reserved in advance and that a fee is charged  for each use.

For more information, click the right-hand link for our Facility Use Forms & Guidelines.

  • The second-floor auditorium is 41' x 34' and seats audiences up to 150 in rows.  The auditorium is best for projecting images because it can be darkened with the audience seated in rows facing a large pull-down screen.

  • The third-floor terrace room is 43' x 43' and can be set for roundtable discussions and workshops.  The terrace room is a good option for smaller groups or for seminars with participants seated at tables or in discussion groups.

  • The Hoxie Gallery is 30' x 50' and can be set for roundtable discussions and workshops.  The gallery is a good option for smaller groups or for seminars with participants seated at tables or in discussion groups.

The base fee for non-profit organizations is $100.
Business and for-profit groups pay a $200 base fee.

No alcoholic beverages without permission, no admission charges,
and no private parties allowed.
