Memorial Bench Policy- A minimum of $2000 is requested for each memorial bench.
- Donors to the Memorial Bench Program will receive a letter of acknowledgement and will be listed in the Memorial Tree/Bench Album.
- Benches have brass plaques mounted on them that state the name of the person in whose honor or memory the bench is donated.
- Wilcox Park will reserve the absolute right to decide on the type of bench and its placement on the grounds.
- A reasonable attempt is made to repair vandalized benches. However, they are not replaced if destroyed by vandalism or if they have been stolen.
Memorial Tree Policy- A minimum of $500 is requested for each memorial tree.
- Donors to the Memorial Tree Program will receive a letter of acknowledgement and will be listed in the Memorial Tree Album.
- Each memorial tree will be identified by a small copper tag that has the name of the person in whose honor or memory the tree was planted.
- Memorial trees are named for the life of the tree and will only be replaced if they die within five years of the planting date.
- Money left over from the actual cost of purchasing and planting the tree is put into a restricted account to be used for special grounds preservation and maintenance projects. These funds will help to ensure the future care of all the woody and herbaceous plants on the property.
