The Westerly Library and Wilcox Park seeks a part-time bookkeeper responsible for the daily financial recording and assistance in financial reporting as well as office management. The bookkeeper must be capable of maintaining records of revenues and expenses, establishing and maintaining budget and budget reports, preparing financial reports, recording cash receipts and preparing deposits, recording accounts payable and disbursing checks, performing general offices duties such as filing and handling routine correspondence, as well as keeping abreast of changing nonprofit accounting requirements.
This is a part-time 20 hour/wk position. $18/hour.
Candidates must possess knowledge of accounting and spreadsheet software such as Blackbaudís Financial or equivalent, bookkeeping fundamentals and procedures, GAAP, and FASBs. Candidates with full charge bookkeeping/accounting experience in a nonprofit setting preferred.
