Support the Library

The Westerly Public Library is a great resource for the community -- it has something for everyone of every age. Ever wonder how you can support the Library? Donations and gifts are always welcomed to supplement the Library's budget and your donation is an investment in the community which will be used to enhance the Library's collections and services.

Please consider giving to the Westerly Library and Wilcox Park when taking your annual IRA distribution.

Annual Fund

Donations toward our Annual Fund Drive help offset the costs of operating the Westerly Public Library and Wilcox Park. Those who contribute $500 or more become members of our Gold Leaf Society.

Capital Campaign

Because of increased demands for services, the Board of Library Trustees is embarking on a capital campaign to raise $6.3 million dollars for space reallocation in the library and renovations to the park. Planned Giving

Various types of planned gifts are possible, ranging from a simple bequest in a will to charitable trusts and Pooled Income Funds. An effective gift plan may increase current income or provide retirement income, while earning a current tax deduction and providing for a future gift to the Memorial and Library Association of Westerly.

Memorial & Celebration Books

Many people like to donate money to purchase books to celebrate special birthdays or to honor the death of friends and family members. The person’s name is placed on a bookplate with an appropriate message.
