Grammy Joan creates unique handmade hats for infants and toddlers. Sewn bucket hats for summer are reversible and feature bright fun fabrics. Knitted hats for fall/winter feature colorful designs and seasonal themes. Hats come in 3 sizes - 6 mo./12 mo./2T. Newly available are knitted hat and bootie sets for newborns - 0 to 3 mo. - great first photo outfits! Hats are mostly unique, one-of-a-kind items, all made in Westerly, RI, and all easy care - machine wash/tumble dry. Accepted payment methods include - cash, Venmo, major credit/debit cards.

About the artist:
Grammy Joan considers herself a fiber artist and has been “playing” with yarn and fabric her entire life! After retiring from a rewarding career as a pediatric Occupational Therapist, Joan had more time to pursue her creativity. Once her first grandchild arrived, she started knitting hats, then sewing hats. More grandchildren – more hats! Since moving to Westerly 4 years ago, Joan and her husband have embraced the wonderful sense of community that Westerly offers and she is looking forward to the opportunity to share her creations at the Pop Up at Coy in Westerly Library. To date, Grammy Joan has 8 grandchildren with 1 more on the way!
