Specimen Trees of Wilcox Park

On the second Saturday of the month, from May through October, come take a walk around Wilcox Park.  URI Master Gardeners will show you the 9 Champion Trees plus the other trees in the RI Big Tree Registry and other note-worthy specimens in the Park.  Tours begin with a history of the Park and an introduction to the Big Tree Registry.  We'll make a loop around the Park, stopping at many of the trees in the Park, telling their stories, a little of their botany, some of their uses, etc.  Tours are on the paths, on level ground.  Tours start at the Fountain by the side entrance to the Library at 10 am and last about 90 minutes.
