Westerly Library is now available by appointment only. Some sections of the first floor will be available for browsing material and to utilize the public computer lab, by reservation only. During this initial reopening phase we are unable to accommodate walk-ins. To make a reservation please call 401.596.2877 ext 930 for Circulation and ext 311 for the computer lab. Please check back for updates! Library Takeout Service is still available via the Books & Materials tab for contact-free pickup and the book drop is now open for material returns.

Teen Summer Reading

2020 Teen Summer Reading Program
For grades 6th through 12th
June 29 - August 29
Sign up for our virtual summer reading program at! Or download the app from Google Play or the Apple Store. Don't forget to write down your username and password. Then, for every 2 hours you read, you get a virtual badge. The more badges you earn, the more chances you get for our prize drawing, and win a bundle of giftcards!


  • Go to
  • Click Register an Individual or Family.
  • Click I am registering myself and fill out the form.
  • Click Next to add additional family members.
  • Register for the 2020 Teen Summer Reading Program
  • Begin tracking your reading by clicking on Log Reading on the top of the page.
  • Note: Logging using the web version will only log for a single program at a time.                                                                      

Using the Beanstack Tracker app

  • Touch Find Your School or Library.
  • Type in "Westerly Library."
  • Touch Sign Up!
  • Enter your Email and Password.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the Registration for you.
  • Touch Add a Reader for additional family members.
  • Touch Challenges at the bottom of the screen and register for the 2020 Teen Summer Reading Program.
  • Touch the + to log your reading or log a day.
  • Note: The Beanstack App will synch all of your programs. Log a book or an activity and the App will track your days automatically.

*Please note, if your age is set at 10 through 11 1/2, you get a choice of registering for either our teen or kid's program. If you are entering 6th grade, please choose the teen program.

If you are unable to participate in the virtual summer reading program and would like a paper program instead, please email or call the library at 401.596.2877 ext 301.
