About the book:
"The Beginning" takes readers on a journey into Winston Churchill's world, set in the tumultuous years of 1940 and 1941. From the very first day he became prime minister, Churchill faced relentless challenges. Through historical fiction, the author skillfully transports readers back to these pivotal events, personalizing the experience and bringing history to life.
About Jim Pierce:
Jim Pierce published "Treachery," a story about Abraham Lincoln, in 2022. A history major, Jim writes about world events using fiction as a means of entertaining the reader while simultaneously providing details on actual historical events. His book on Winston Churchill, "The Beginning," follows the same approach. Jim Pierce is a retired insurance executive living in Houston, Texas. His ties to the Presidency start with a distant connection to Franklin Pierce, the 14th President of the United States. More recently, his uncle George H. W. Bush served as the 41st President, and his first cousin George W. Bush was the 43rd President. While spending his career in the insurance business, Jim's love of history began early and has never waned. His reverence for Winston Churchill's heroic leadership during World War II remains steadfast. Jim is married and has four children. He and his wife Dabney are enjoying their two grandchildren, named Pierce and Milly.
