Join historian and author, Peter Emanuel, who will discuss his work of non-fiction, Course Change. Emanuel relays the harrowing story of the whaleship Stonington and it’s unexpected role in the Mexican-American War during 1846. Emanuel researched the story with meticulous detail, using accounts in the ship’s log as one of his primary sources.
