This month's exhibit will feature works done by local artist Eddie Hall! Head to the Hoxie Gallery from 5-7 pm Wednesday, December 2nd for an opportunity to meet the artist and enjoy light bites. Works can be viewed in the Hoxie Gallery December 2nd-31st during library hours.
About the exhibit:
"ex Libris" presents a selection of abstract paintings on reclaimed house windows. Using reverse-painted acrylic, transparent passages, metal leaf, and exposed glass, Eddie Hall transforms salvaged architectural objects into geometric studies of color, pattern, and perception. The exhibition explores the window as both a physical frame and a form of presenting art —inviting viewers to look at and beyond the painted surfaces.
About the artist:
Eddie Hall is a self-taught abstract artist based in Berlin, Connecticut. He uses reclaimed house windows as both a canvas and a subject, painting in reverse on glass to create geometric compositions inspired by architecture and pattern. Hall is a member of Kehler Liddell Gallery and the Silvermine Guild of Artists. His work is held in the collections of the New Britain Museum of American Art and Central Connecticut State University.
