In celebration of the Dante Society's 50th year, we are proud to present "Italian Immigrants in Westerly: Their Stories." This exhibit will feature the immigrant histories of many of Westerly's most prominent Italian families, the hardships they endured, and their ultimate triumphs. Many of these families are responsible for building the town and making Westerly what it is today. Join members of Dante Society of Westerly for the opening on Wednesday, October 1st from 5-7 pm, as well as refreshments. The exhibit can be viewed through the month of October, during regular library hours.

About the organization:

The Dante Society of Westerly is a non-profit organization, established in 1975, which preserves, promotes and fosters the community’s awareness of the Italian culture, and rewards excellence in the study of the Italian language and culture at the Westerly High School.
