Celebrate Pride This Month With WLWP!

Pride Month is an annual celebration of the many contributions made by the LGBTQ+ community to history, society and cultures worldwide. In most places, Pride is celebrated throughout the month of June each year in commemoration of its roots in the Stonewall Riots of June 1969.

Celebrate Pride with us this June, and join in any of our themed programs, activities and displays for all ages, all month long:

Kids

Monday, 06/08, 9 am-8 pm: Kids Take & Make: Hanging Cardboard Rainbow

Tuesday, 06/09, 2-3 pm: Family Park Walk “Color Walk”

Thursday, 06/11, 4-5 pm: Kids Craft Time: Rainbow Dot Painting

Tweens

Display: Read with Pride. Books by and about LGBTQIA+ people. 

Bulletin Board: Pride in the Park! We will have rainbows, unicorns, dinosaurs and flowers to add to bulletin board. 

Take & Make: Design and paint your own wind chime to enjoy the start of summer.

Teens

DIY Table Craft: Wooden rainbows, paint pens

Book Display: However You Pride is Perfect

Take & Makes: Zines, fidgets, clay, pastels coloring kits

Mini Coloring Sets: Pride & summer themes

Lego Table: Colorful Retro Wheels sets-roller skate, boombox, skateboard
