Whether you love hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, birdwatching, or horseback riding, Rhode Island’s State Wildlife Management Areas are beautiful places to explore and enjoy nature! While these conservation lands are open to the public, there are some rules visitors need to follow to keep both people and wildlife safe. Join RIDEM’s Division of Fish and Wildlife outreach team for an intro to State lands, wildlife conservation in RI, and ways to access your state’s natural resources!
This program is FREE to attend, but registration is required so that staff can prepare materials.

About the presenters:
Mary Gannon is the Wildlife Outreach Coordinator for RIDEM's Division of Fish and Wildlife. Her work centers around spreading awareness of State wildlife conservation projects and educating Rhode Islanders of all ages about our state's unique critters. Her favorite part of her job is getting to tag along with wildlife biologists in the field, where she has had some very memorable experiences! In her free time, you can find Mary enjoying time with her family, tending her veggie garden, and restoring her boring suburban lawn to a vibrant native plant oasis for wildlife.
Abigail Clark is the Wildlife Outreach and Volunteer Technical Assistant for RIDEM Division of Fish and Wildlife. Abby is an outdoor educator who is passionate about connecting Rhode Islanders with the environment. In her position with Fish and Wildlife, she assists with the day-to-day coordination of outreach and volunteer programming. She feels lucky that her work allows her to experience firsthand people discovering new things in nature! When not at work Abby can be found spending time with her family, shuttling her children to sports, reading, or crafting.
