RIDOT has organized a series of public listening sessions to gather feedback from Rhode Islanders about their future needs and vision for rail service in our state. These public listening sessions will inform the RIDOT Rail Plan, an innovative and forward-thinking plan for future investments in train service in Rhode Island. When complete, the RIDOT Rail Plan will provide a comprehensive assessment of the rail system; explore potential investments in future rail services and growth; and map out an implementation plan to get us there.
Join us on Wednesday, December 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. for one of three public listening sessions.
About RIDOT:
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) designs, constructs, and maintains the state's surface transportation system. This includes not only roads and bridges but also the state's rail stations, bike paths and ferry service.
Please note:
Westerly Library & Wilcox Park staff often take photos and recordings during programs and events, which may be used in publicity and marketing. If you do not wish to have your photo used, please contact a staff member to let us know and we will make every effort to honor that request.
