In part one of our two-part Medicinal Plants series, Elizabeth Leibovitz will give a lecture on Pharmacognosy: the study of drugs from natural resources. 40% or more of drugs come from natural products, including plants.  We will meet plants that are the source of pharmaceutical drugs and learn their stories- some of which have their roots in traditional medicines. You will come away with a deeper appreciation of the chemistry of plants and how it benefits human health.

This program is free and open to the public.
